お友達に誘われて、ついに念願のアランチーノに行って来ました。ガイドブックやインターネットのレストランガイドサイトでいつも好評だったので1度は行ってみたいと思っていたんです。

待ち合わせは、11：45のランチの時間。あんまり観光シーズンでないからなのか、もうすぐ12時になるというのにお店はすいていました。お友達が少し遅れてくるというので、いくつかのグループがレストランに入ったあとに、私も先にレストランに入ることにしました。でも、やっぱりお店はまだまだガラ空き。席についてしばらくするとウェイターさんが注文を聞きにきました。「友達を待っているので、またあとで」とお答えすると、「飲み物だけでも？」と親切に聞いてくれました。でも、まぁ、ここはやっぱり待っておこうかなぁと思い、飲み物も後で。しばらくすると、また同じウェイターさんが、「パンとか食べて待ってたら？」と親切に聞いてくれました。親切だけど、私は待っていたいからちょっとそっとしていてほしかった（笑

I finally got to go to Arancino Di Mare with my friend the other day! I have seen many good reviews about the restaurant everywhere. So, I always wanted to go there. But I just hadn`t had a chance. When my friend said she wanted to go to the restaurant, I was like “Yeah!”

We decided to go to the restaurant at 11:45, lunch time. The restaurant was still almost empty and slow. I got a text message from my friend saying she would be a little late. So I decided to go in after I saw a few groups went in the restaurant. Even though there were a few groups in the restaurant, it was still slow. After I sat at the table, a waiter came to get an order. But I decided to wait for my friend to come first. He was a very friendly waiter and asked me a few times if I wanted anything before she came. Since I had already decided to wait for my friend, it was a little annoying…even though he was just being nice.

 

メニューを見てみると、どれもおいしそうなものばかりでした。海外でイタリアンを食べる経験があまりなかったので、ちょっと不安でしたが、口コミがいいので、おいしいに違いない！でも、どれもいいお値段。そういえば、友達がランチメニューがあるっていってたけど、ランチメニューが見当たらない。少しメニューが変わったのかなぁ。それから、友達が来てもう1度メニューに目を通していたら、友達がウェイターさんに「ランチメニューありましたよね？」と一言。そうすると、別のパウチされたランチメニューを持ってきてくれました。私は内心、「え？ランチメニューってお願いしないと出てこないの？？？これじゃぁ、旅行客とか何も知らずに普通に注文しちゃうじゃない？」と。まぁ、旅行で来ている人は、ランチメニューだのにこだわっていないでしょうが・・・。

ランチメニューはサラダとパン＆パスタOrピザOrリゾットで18ドルでした（2014年12月現在）。なんとお得！サラダは3種類くらいから選べて、私は、シーザーサラダをいただくことにしました。シーザーサラダには、クルトンとアンチョビが添えてありました。あとは、別にパンも来ました。パンもふかふかしていておいしいし、サラダもとてもおいしかったです。

I never really wanted to try Italian food in foreign countries, other than in Italy. I don`t know why. I always wanted to try the local food. Anyway, since there are so many good reviews about the restaurant, their food should be yummy. But when I looked at the menu, all were kind of pricy to me. I remembered my friend was saying they had lunch menu. But I didn`t see it anywhere. When my friend came, she looked through the menu and told me that there should be lunch menu. And she asked the waiter for the lunch menu. And he brought the lunch menu from somewhere. I was like…”What??? Unless you ask for it, you can`t get it? If were a tourist, you wouldn`t know there`s lunch menu?” Well…maybe tourists don’t care about it, though. Not like me.

There were pastas, risottos, and pizzas. Everything comes with a salad and a bread and it was $18. This is reasonable. I like it. I think there are 3 choices of salads, and I picked up the caesar salad.The salad came with anchovy filet and croutons. Very good.

 

メインは、私は生ハムときのこのクリームフェットチーネにしました。そして、お友達は、トマトソースのペンネ。私のパスタは、チーズの味がきいていて、こってりとしていて食べ応えがありました。生ハムときのこの組み合わせもばっちり。日本人の口に合うんではないかなぁという感じの味でした。お友達のペンネは、少し辛いトマトソースだったそうです。以前まであったトマトソースのスパゲッティがものすごくおいしかったんだそうで、今度見つけたら食べてみたいなぁ。。。カハラのほうに新しい店舗がオープンしたようなので、そこにいけばあるかなぁ。

I ordered fettuccine with mushroom and prosciutto crudo in a cream sauce and my friend ordered Penne with spicy homemade tomato sauce. I really enjoyed my pasta. The cream sauce was very heavy but it had a good match with the ham and mushroom. My friend said her pasta was a little spicy, but after all it was good. It seemed that there was spagetti with simple tomato sauce before. They changed the menu a few months ago. I hope it will come back. I want to try it.

食後にコーヒーを注文しました。Illyのコーヒーです。おなかも心も満足しました。
