メリークリスマス！！

こちらハワイは暖かいので、私が慣れ親しんできたクリスマスという感じはまったくありません。ラジオを付ければ、クリスマスソングがひたすら流れているけれど、いったん外に出てしまうと、いつもの風景が広がっています。もちろんショッピングモールやホテルにはクリスマスの飾りが施されていますが、そのくらいでしょうか。

でも、今日は、知らない人同士の挨拶もメリークリスマスかハッピーホリデーズです。

今日はこれからお友達のところでポットラックパーティーです！楽しみ！では、皆様、素敵な1日をお過ごしくださいませ。

 

Merry Christmas to you all!

This is my first time to spend Christmas time in Hawaii. The Christmas here is very different from the one I am used to. It is very warm here while it is very cold in Japan this time of the year. So, to me, Christmas = Cold, not Christmas = Warm. It may take me some time to get used to it.

The thing I like about here today is people say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to each other as greetings even though they are completely strangers to each other.

Today, I am going to potluck party that one of my friends will hold. Now I am making quiche to bring with me.
